I work with a small number of anaesthetists who I believe deliver excellent care for my patients. They are all vastly experienced and understand how to guide patients through the anxieties of the operation day. They will discuss with you the optimum anaesthetic type for your surgery and together you will choose what is best for you.
The main three anaesthetists are:
Dr Ben Walton
Intensive Care and Anaesthetic Consultant at North Bristol NHS Trust, Nuffield and Spire Hospitals.
Dr Skylar Paulich

Consultant Anaesthetist and Consultant in Intensive care
Sky was born in Amsterdam and moved from the Netherlands to Sheffield at the age of 2. He attended school in Sheffield before graduating from Oxford university with his medical degree in 2008. He has been in the South-west since graduation and has also spent 2 years working in Australia. Sky is both an Intensive Care consultant and Anaesthetic consultant in Southmead Hospital, North Bristol NHS Trust, where he specialises in all forms of anaesthesia along with neurocritical care and trauma. He also works privately at both the Spire Hospital and the Nuffield Hospital in Bristol. Outside of work Sky has a wife, a 3 year old daughter and a cat. He is a keen cyclist (he was also a keen ironman triathlete), sailor and kitesurfer.
Dr Nick Preston
FRCA, MBBS, BSc(Hons)
Consultant Anaesthetist at North Bristol NHS Trust, Nuffield and Spire Hospitals. Specialist interests in Regional Anaesthesia, Difficult Airways and Orthopaedics. Nick thrives on delivering excellent personalised care and going the extra mile.
